JUST ADD SPEAKERS WITH PRO-JECT’S JUKE BOX E TURNTABLE

For more than 25 years Pro-Ject has been building turntables and today can be regarded as a world-leader in the manufacturing of affordable record players.

As a brand that cares deeply about introducing new customers to the wonders of analogue playback, its modus operandi has always been “to bring our customers the true hifi stereo experience at a moderate price with the easiest setup possible.”

Pro-Ject Juke Box E

Announced today, the Juke Box E does just that and is a check-box that can now be ticked off by Pro-Ject's founder, Heinz Lichtenegger.

For the new-comer to vinyl, they're often faced with some difficult choices. Do you need a phono pre-amplifier? Does your existing stereo have a provision for a turntable input? Nine times out of ten, the answer is no, meaning they need to spend considerably more than first anticipated.

Pro-Ject's Juke Box E is an active turntable meaning it features a built-in phono pre and 50 watts power amplifier. The first truly plug-and-play solution has arrived.

Leigh Fischer, Brand Manager for Interdyn, enthused:

With fully-featured connectivity, Juke Box E becomes one of the most versatile offerings on the market. A turntable, a preamplifier, a power amplifier and a Bluetooth receiver as a good looking and audiophile one-box-solution!

The Juke Box E also features a Line Output, a high contrast display, a 32-step digital potentiometer (volume control) that with a press, conveniently changes between source inputs.

It also comes with factory-set tracking, anti-skating and an Ortofun OM5E cartridge.

Supplied with a remote control, you can, of course, adjust the volume, switch between inputs or even adjust the bass and treble to your liking.

The Pro-Ject Juke Box E is available in high gloss red, black, white, and will also be available in a pack complete with Pro-Ject Speaker Box 5 speakers.

Local pricing has not yet been confirmed, but Interdyn says the Juke Box E will be available early in 2018.

    applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
